Pointer Edit
Tool summary :
- Lets you edit one or multiple pointers that you select. Selection filtering is built in.
- While Pointer Edit can be used to edit one pointer at a time, the tool is more commonly used for multi-editing. The preferred way to edit a single pointer is to double-click it while ' Default ' is selected as the selection filter.
- If you preselect multiple types of objects, Pointer Edit will edit only those objects that are pointers. The other objects will remain selected. Click here for an example. Preselection is done in Select Items mode. Here are the steps:

- Draw an area box or hold down the Shift key and left-click ( Select+ ) several objects of the same type or of different types.
- Invoke Pointer Edit .
- The Pointer Edit window opens.
- In-tool selection takes place when you invoke Pointer Edit with nothing selected or with object types other than pointers selected. The tool brings up Select Item(s) mouse bindings, and the status line prompts you select pointers. Here are the steps:

- Select one or more objects. Built-in selection filtering restricts you to selecting pointers. Press the Enter key when you are done selecting the objects.
- The Pointer Edit window opens.
- To invoke Pointer Edit :
Method 1 : Click the Pointer Edit icon. The icon can be taken from the group named ' Objects -- Pointers ' and placed on a toolbar (classic) or the ribbon (lightning).
Method 2 : If " Drawing Editor layout style " is ' Classic ', you can use the menu system to choose Objects > Pointers > Edit .
Method 3, 4 or 5 : Pointer Edit can also be invoked using a keyboard shortcut , the context menu , or a mode . For the ' Lightning ' layout style, configuration of the interface is done using Customize Interface .
